I don't understand why some people don't give Video Game music the respect they deserve. Just as much effort was put into composing music for a video game as was put in for an album. Just because it belongs in a video game doesn't make it any less than it is. Some of my favorite video game music comes from The Legend of Zelda series. Thank you Koji Kondo!! The excellent music of Wind Waker is my childhood and I only recently got into Pokemon, especially the first 2 generations. Some of the songs have 2 or 3 melodies and a complex baseline*. That's more than you hear today, even if they didn't simulate instruments.

*Sometimes the 3rd melody (only 3 sound channels for notes)
